A British man who went on a wild spending spree after doctors said he only had a short time to live wants compensation because the diagnosis was wrong and he is now healthy -- but broke.
I know I shouldn't find humor in his situation, but it is kind of funny. Don't know if I would have acted differently, but I also don't think I'd expect the hospital to reimburse me for my expenses.
I heard about this on the radio this morning. One caller asked if he had gotten a second opinion, which I think is an excellent question. I think I'd want a second opinion before blowing my life savings, etc.
